proposal for mass fluoridation of water would mean:
- The legalisation of medication without consent
in the UK
- Being fed a chemical linked to high still-birth
rates, autism and bone/stomach cancer - and more.
- The long lasting pollution of crops, the
end of organic farming and the need to even bathe in bottled water
to escape the chemical.
Extracts from web sites on fluoride:
"I would advise against fluoridation.. Side-effects
cannot be excluded ..."
- Dr. Arvid Carlsson, co-winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine
"The American Medical Association is NOT prepared to state
that no harm will be done to any person by water fluoridation."
- Dr. Flanagan, Assistant Director of Environmental Health, American
"I am appalled at the prospect of using water
as a vehicle for drugs. Fluoride is a corrosive poison that will
produce serious effects on a long range basis. Any attempt to use
water this way is deplorable."
- Dr. Charles Gordon Heyd, Past President of the American Medical
"E.P.A. should act immediately to protect the
public, not just on the cancer data, but on the evidence of bone
fractures, arthritis, mutagenicity and other effects."
- Dr. William Marcus, Senior Toxicologist at E.P.A.
Mary Sparrowdancer writes:
" Among other things, fluoride is also known to be a thyroid
toxin.. Someone has created a monster. We need to wake up and recognize
while we can still see and think."

Independent research studies have shown that fluoride
has been directly linked to: kidney and bladder disorders; bone
malformation; arthritis; skin disease; calcified deposits in the
aorta; interference with thyroid function, causing hypothyroidism;
and weakening of the immune system; damage to connective-tissue
collagen, to ligaments, tendons, bones, arteries and DNA.
Animal studies conducted at the Forsyth Dental Center
in Boston in the early 1990’s indicated that fluoride was
a powerful central nervous system toxin, and might adversely affect
human brain functioning, even at low doses. (New epidemiological
evidence from China adds support, showing a correlation between
low-dose fluoride exposure and diminished I.Q. in children.)
An application for a grant to continue this research
was turned down by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH),
where an NIH panel...flatly said that "fluoride does not have
central nervous system effects."
